Boston Bound: 2015!

Because I am having so much fun training for my first full marathon, I have decided to set my sights on the Boston Marathon in 2015. In order to run you must qualify in another marathon in 3 hours and 35 minutes (for my age group). After training for about 10 weeks while actually paying attention to my pacing, I have realized that I am certainly not going to surprise everyone with a first-timer BQ! I must very consciously train to increase my pace.

The following is a list of goal races and times. This will ultimately remain flexible and will change after each race, I’m sure of that.

June 16th, 2013:
Manitoba Marathon
Goal Time: 4:30:00, pace 6:24/km

Oct 13th, 2013:
Fall Colours Marathon Ottawa
Goal Time: 4:15:00, pace 6:02/km

May 25th, 2014:
Ottawa Race Weekend
Goal Time: 3:55:00, pace 5:34/km

Oct 5th, 2014:
Twin Cities Marathon
Goal Time: 3:35:00, pace 5:13/km

April 20th, 2015:

So…birthday presents…a GARMIN Forerunner 10 perhaps????
